What a year it's been. When I look back at the challenges and “problems” we were discussing when we were planning for 2020, they all seem irrelevant in light of what humanity has endured over the last 9 months.
What started out in March as a lockdown for 4, maybe 6 weeks soon evolved into a constant state of “semi-isolation”. Being a global organization, we at MIP, have witnessed, through conversations with colleagues and customers around the globe, how quickly Covid-19 spread to all corners of the world with its devastating impact on citizens of all nations, highlighting the importance of healthcare & frontline workers around the world.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more proud, then when witnessing how my MIP colleagues adapted overnight to the new reality and found renewed purpose and energy in their roles. We instantly knew that we played an important role in helping our laundry partners secure isolation gowns, scrubs and other essential textiles for frontline workers. I’ve witnessed my colleagues work extreme hours and never complaining, because we all knew that our challenges paled in comparison to those of nurses, doctors, nursing home residents and staff, as well as those personally affected by Covid-19.
As we now enter the Holiday season, vaccines are being rolled out and we all hope that we can soon get back to a more "normal" life, where we can spend time with friends and family, parents and grandparents, without fear of infecting them.
At MIP we have spent the last 9 months building a more flexible, robust and resilient organization. As we enter the Holiday season, we would like to thank all of our business partners for the trust that you have placed in us. You can count on our support in 2021 and beyond.
